Muscle Size – How Do You Increase The Size Of Your Muscles Quickly

Let me tell you this, increasing muscle size is not something that you can actually do quickly in the literal sense, there is a way to speed up muscle growth but it will still take you a good number of months, as opposed to a couple of years of struggling with no visible results.

  • Sarcoplasmic Hypertrophy (don’t mind them big fancy words)
  • Your muscles are actually made up of 2 things, 75% water and 25% dry muscle.

When you gain the actual dry muscle very little of it is gained, about the size of a thimble is grown in a month and its spread out through your entire body. As your dry muscle increases in size its capacity to hold in liquid is increased which means that it can hold more water, as a result the muscles get bigger, this is called Sarcoplasmic hypertrophy.

How Do You Train For Size?

There are many facets to sports, there are athletes who focus on strength training, and they focus less on sarcoplasmic growth and more on being able to lift heavier weights. Bodybuilders obviously try to emphasize on muscle growth, they lift about 65-80% of their max capability which means 8-12 reps. I personally have never seen a bodybuilder deadlift as much as a weightlifter would, Mikhail Koklyaev can deadlift 405 kilos(891 pounds) and I have never seen a bodybuilder lift that much.

What does this have to do with anything you ask? Well this means that you don’t have to lift humongous weights, you only need to lift 8 reps minimum and 12 reps max for sarcoplasmic hypertrophy.

How Do You Speed Up Growth

A good way to get your muscles to grow faster is by limiting aerobic exercises, I’m not saying completely abandon them but you should run on the treadmill less(or just run less if you run in the morning) if you are doing it every day, limit it to once or twice a week. Aside from running you probably know that you should eat more, but I only want to remind you so you don’t forget.
