The Walt Disney World Resort is a magical place to visit, and it’s a place that you and your family should go to at least once in your lifetime. It’s the world’s greatest amusement park, but to call it an amusement park would denigrate it because it’s so much more. There are several different parks in the Walt Disney World Resort, and they would more appropriately be called theme parks. It’s surrounded by hotels, spas, and resorts itself, and there are dozens of parks, activities, rides, stores, and adventures you can visit while you’re there.
Let’s take a look at one particular resort that’s on the grounds of the Walt Disney World Resort, The Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. The Grand Floridian is a hotel with its own swimming pool, spa, and gym, and it’s a place you can go to relax in, in its own right, apart from Disney World itself. However, it’s in such close proximity to Disney World that you can easily go into the park each day, that is the Magic Kingdom, or any of the adjoining parks, without any trouble. If you’re there, consider walking around the parks all day, going to the spa at night, and sleeping through the whole night. Then, repeat the process all over again. It’s a truly renewing experience.
There are so many parks to visit while you in Disney World, and some of the most memorable ones include the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon, Animal Kingdom, and MGM Studios. Each park has its own set of restaurants, rides, and adventures. There’s just so much to do there, and it’s so amazingly fun, that you’ll never tired of it. You can repeat a ride like Splash Mountain 12 times, and you won’t get tired of it.
Let’s take a look at Splash Mountain as a representative of other types of rides and examine why Disney rides are so much fun. First of all, there’s a lot of adornment to the whole ride. It’s not like a typical ride at an amusement park or Six Flags-type place. There is a story to it. The ride is based on Disney characters, and you learn a lot about the story, and get to see story scenery, as you’re going along on the ride. Finally, at the culmination of the ride, you plummet down into a pool of water, and your boat causes a huge splash which has everyone soaking wet. There’s a lot of build-up, and there’s a big finish.
Let’s take a look at another Epcot, and this summary is by no means extensive or complete, but it will just give you an idea of the detail and richness of a place like Disney World. Epcot allows you to see representative areas for most of the world’s countries. You can eat at different ethnic restaurants in the city, and you can purchase knick-knacks that will help you remember that country when you go home and return from your visit to Disney World.
